Æthelmyr is speaking :
Congratulations!
Translated Draconic: Congratulations!
Keah (Eilir): brb. setting up lunch
ElectricCaveman: Woo! Sam’s here!
Sam (Xenia): yay, I’m in!
Keah (Eilir): i’m back
ElectricCaveman: So, starting time?
Keah (Eilir): yes
Matt (Avaril the Average): I’m not leveled.
Keah (Eilir): is sam levelled?
Matt (Avaril the Average): Also I need to do some file maintainence.
Campaign saved.
Keah (Eilir): we were rested last time yes?
Keah (Eilir): yes. my spells are all here. nvm.
Keah (Eilir): sam! set your EXP needed to 6000.
Campaign saved.
ElectricCaveman: But you’re not actually over half way to your next level. The bar is deceptive that way.
Keah (Eilir): sam’s is super tiny for some reason.
ElectricCaveman: Because she has her XP listed as 624/6000, rather than 624/3000 or 3624/6000.
Keah (Eilir): oooh.
Sam (Xenia): there, fixed it.
Keah (Eilir): okay. i am ready to start.
Avaril the Average: I’m still not.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Picking a spell and I need to close and reopen after fixing file locations.
ElectricCaveman: I don’t know if Sam is done, either.
Keah (Eilir): sam, whch domain spell are you going to prepare?
Sam (Xenia): yeah, I’m done. all I had left was skill pts and spell prep, yes?
ElectricCaveman: I think so.
Sam (Xenia): I dunno. Heat metal sounds fun fun fun. But Barkskin also useful, if less exciting.
Keah (Eilir): barkskin adds to natural armour, which none of us have, excempt maybe Æthelmyr.
Campaign saved.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Peter what schools did I forbid? I only have listed that I specialize in conj and nec, not what I can’t cast from…
Matt (Avaril the Average): I was hoping maybe you’d know.
Keah (Eilir): sam! don’t forget you get a bonus 2nd-level per day because of your WIS!
Keah (Eilir): you get a bonus 1st and a bonus 2nd.
Sam (Xenia): I’m excited about my new spells. Spiritual weapon sounds fun.
Sam (Xenia): I just popped those in.
ElectricCaveman: I included that on there already.
Sam (Xenia): oh. well…I’ll go count again
ElectricCaveman: I thought conj and nec were for your Scholar level. I don’t know that you ever chose a Wizard specialization.
ElectricCaveman: Xenia should have 4 0-level, 3+1 1-level, and 2+1 2-level with her bonuses included.
Sam (Xenia): where is the table of how many extra spells you get? I’ve found 3 places in the book that say "your WIS mod gives you bonus spells" but nowhere that says how many
DM: It’s in the Abilities chapter, right at the front.
Sam (Xenia): okay, thats what I have.
Keah (Eilir): bonus spells chart is at the beginning of the Abilities chapter (chapter 1)
Matt (Avaril the Average): Okay, I’ll take those two again and drop illusion.
Campaign saved.
ElectricCaveman: For wizard, you spec in one and drop two.
Matt (Avaril the Average): ahyesokay.
Keah (Eilir): you don’t need divination.
ElectricCaveman: you can’t drop div
Keah (Eilir): figures.
Matt (Avaril the Average): ench,ill
ElectricCaveman: Well, yeah. It’s obviously the weakest. You only have to give up one school if you are a Diviner, too.
Keah (Eilir): what about abjuration
Matt (Avaril the Average): Also we think I’m allowed to just switch out one feat for one I qualify for at a level so I’d like to get rid of Combat Casting…
ElectricCaveman: okay
Matt (Avaril the Average): PHB 2, ch8
Matt (Avaril the Average): Cool. I’m going to do that.
ElectricCaveman: Abjuration gives you things like alarm, resist energy, shield, dispel magic, stoneskin…
ElectricCaveman: It’s very defense-minded, but not really without power in its way.
Keah (Eilir): matt doesn’t need those.
Keah (Eilir): he’d have less to complain about if he protected himself.
Campaign saved.
ElectricCaveman: Illusion is a pretty natural thing for either necromancers or conjurers to drop. Conjurers don’t need fakes, and necromancers can use fear effects to do many of the same things. Enchantment (and illusion, to a lesser extent) is very redundant in this party, since Aethelmyr has access to all the best enchantments.
Keah (Eilir): yep.
Campaign saved.
ElectricCaveman: Are we all ready? I will feel really dumb if we’re all just sitting here waiting for someone to say something.
Campaign saved.
Sam (Xenia): I’m ready
Matt (Avaril the Average): No. Leveling up is difficult and stupid.
ElectricCaveman: okay
dublish (Æthelmyr): Peter, what are some good metamagic feats?
Keah (Eilir): there’s one that makes touch spells ranged.
Campaign saved.
ElectricCaveman: It really depends on what you want to do. Complete Mage has a lot of good suggestions for different archetypes.
Keah (Eilir): kyle and i just traded feat bibles.
Campaign saved.
[w] Eilir: did you get a chance to type up what Bob knows about my Billy Sickle?
Matt (Avaril the Average): Be back. Not done.
‘Matt’ disconnected
Players have requested permission to load ‘PFRPG Basic Rules’
[w] -> Eilir: No. I thought about it this morning, but haven’t had time.
[w] Eilir: that’s fine. just thought i’d ask while we’re waiting.
DM: Why do we need pathfinder rules?
dublish (Æthelmyr): My bad.
Keah (Eilir): What?
‘Matt’ connected
Æthelmyr: There weren’t any modules for Matt to activate, so I tried seeing if something was wrong, and that’s just the one I decided to test.
ElectricCaveman: okay
ElectricCaveman: I don’t object, if people want to see them. I was just confused.
Keah (Eilir): What’s the difference between pathfinder and 3.5, anyway? they sound super similar.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Less bloat.
Campaign saved.
Keah (Eilir): bloat?
ElectricCaveman: Pathfinder is built on the OGL, so rules-wise, they’re basically the same. PF re-jiggered some of the classes and stuff to rebalance things, and generally, I think, raised the power level somewhat.
ElectricCaveman: I’m not sure what Kyle means by bloat.
User ‘Sam’ has gone AFK.
Matt (Avaril the Average): I don’t have access to any of the books.
Campaign saved.
Avaril the Average: I can’t even open up my feat descriptions. "Could not open sheet with data from the unloaded module ‘3.5E Basic Rules’."
ElectricCaveman: That’s weird. Basic Rules are set to force-load, and all the other books that aren’t for monsters are allowed.
Keah (Eilir): i closed my spell book… oopsie…
Eilir: but i can still read my spells.
Keah (Eilir): matt, didn’t you say you were moving files? what were you moving?
User ‘Sam’ is back.
Avaril the Average: Nothing, I just changed temp locations but I changed it back.
Keah (Eilir): weird.
Campaign saved.
Keah (Eilir): i need to update my diary.
Keah (Eilir): writing in common is hard. i tried it.
Keah (Eilir): it took me about 10 minutes to write a sentence.
Matt (Avaril the Average): I’m all set aside from shit not loading in.
Keah (Eilir): yay! let’s start (finally)
DM: Okay. I suppose we’ll start, then. You’re hanging out in a somewhat cramped cave with a copper dragon.
Keah (Eilir): right. keeping watch. everyone trades off except Avaril.
Keah (Eilir): Xenia only needs to trance for 4 hours, while the restr of us sleep for 8. unless Æthelmyr is also special.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Nope.
ElectricCaveman: Half-elves sleep, not trance.
Keah (Eilir): i thought they tranced too.
dublish (Æthelmyr): No, half-elves are half-human in that respect.
Keah (Eilir): ah. nevermind then.
Keah (Eilir): we all sleep for 8 hours, rotating watches.
[TOWER] GM -> [1d100 = 65]
[TOWER] GM -> [1d100 = 99]

[TOWER] GM -> [1d100 = 17]
Campaign saved.
dublish (Æthelmyr): So 16 hours later we all wake up, having each rested at least 8 hours continuously and keeping watch for 4 hours?
Keah (Eilir): works for me.
Keah (Eilir): I hope Bob doesn’t snore…
DM: The night passes uneventfully, but coldly.
Matt (Avaril the Average): I hope Bob dies alone.
ElectricCaveman: 8 hours rest does not have to mean 8 hours sleep. You can rest while keeping watch, assuming nothing interrupts you.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Oh.
dublish (Æthelmyr): We wake up/stop resting whenever is convenient then.z
DM: The next morning happens.
Æthelmyr: Wake up!
Æthelmyr: Everybody wake up!
Avaril the Average wakes up punching.
Avaril the Average: DAMN YOU DAMN YOU DAMN YOU!
Æthelmyr: What?
Eilir avoids Avaril’s fists.
Sam (Xenia): matt, do you still really just have 12 HP?
Avaril the Average: [1d4 = 2]
Matt (Avaril the Average): No.
Campaign saved.
Sam (Xenia): oh good, you are all healed now.
Keah (Eilir): I am at 17.
Matt (Avaril the Average): No?
Matt (Avaril the Average): I don’t think I’m all healed but I don’t know.
Xenia: How is everyone feeling this morning?
Matt (Avaril the Average): I misclicked is what cleared the damage.
Sam (Xenia): ah.
Æthelmyr: I feel wonderful! Bob, how are you doing?
Eilir: I’m still a little bruised, but I’ll be fine.
Matt (Avaril the Average): But maybe we did rest enough? Who knows? No one. No body fucking knows.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Knit me a scarf God damnit.
Eilir: Sleeping in a cave didn’t help the bruising, I’m sure. I should get a bedroll sometime…
Æthelmyr: Is it true that when dragons sleep away from their horde, they are grumpy?
Bob: I hurt, but I’ll be okay.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Xenia should take a craft (knitting) skill.
Bob: I think dragons are always grumpy.
Avaril the Average: Wouldn’t you always be grumpy since you’re impoverished?
Æthelmyr: Awwww.
Bob: Except copper dragons. We’re the only ones who know how to have any fun.
Eilir: I think if I were a dragon, I’d rather be safe and make a horde later than be in danger and have one.
Eilir: Shall we press on then? I’d like to get out of these mountains.
Æthelmyr: Yes, please.
Matt (Avaril the Average): That doesn’t make sense.
Campaign saved.
Matt (Avaril the Average): If you were… You’d… Make a… When… You’re stupid.
Keah (Eilir): Bob is running away from hunters. and he’s young. so he has plenty of time to build a horde of his own later.
Eilir: We press on westward. Unless Bob has a better idea.
Bob tags along.
Eilir: We should stay wary of orcs. I know at least one ran to find some of the others in the clan.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Spot [1d20+9 = 19]
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Listen [1d20+4 = 6]
Æthelmyr keeps an eye out for orcs as she chatters with Bob about DRAGONS.
Keah (Eilir): So are we off Xenia’s map now? I thought that’s what Sam said once.
Æthelmyr: So are we off Xenia’s map now? I thought that’s what she said once.
Avaril the Average grumps.
Æthelmyr: [1d100 = 22]
DM: You continue your trek upward, further into the high pass. Nothing unexpected or unnatural accosts you all morning. The path meets a shallow, braided stream, which you soon find flows down from a glacier lake.
Campaign saved.
Eilir: Cooool…!
Eilir: Literally.
Eilir stops to refill her waterskin.
Æthelmyr: I bet that water is freezing.
Xenia: Heh.
Avaril the Average: You’re a simpleton idiot.
Avaril the Average: In fact, all of you are.
Æthelmyr: You’re a simpleton idiot, and you smell like one, too!
DM: As soon as you turn the bend and see the glacier, Bob stops and stares at it uneasily.
Avaril the Average: Far better than what you smell of.
Eilir: Bob?
Æthelmyr sticks her tongue out at Avaril.
Matt (Avaril the Average): How old is everyone? We’re a super mature party…
Bob: I heard that the glacier had advanced back into the pass. I heard that it was because winter fey had claimed it…
Keah (Eilir): I’m 20.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Avaril’s "26."
dublish (Æthelmyr): Technically, I’m 22.
Sam (Xenia): I’m 27. But also a slower maturer than humans.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Mentally you’re 5.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Ditto, I think.
Eilir: Well, let’s just leave the fey to their glacier and keep going.
Matt (Avaril the Average): I’m the oldest and most wiselierest.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Heed my words all of you. Because you are all dumb.
Æthelmyr: What kind of fey?
DM: The glacier fills the valley you’ve been following.
Æthelmyr: It’s been a long time since I met any fey.
Keah (Eilir): You do have more WIS than anyone, but we’re all more Charismatic.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Is it following us?
Æthelmyr: I once met a pixie who taught me elven.
Æthelmyr: Except he was lying and he actually taught me sylvan.
Keah (Eilir): Ha. Æthelmyr’s smarter than you, Matt.
Æthelmyr: That was embarrassing.
Bob: The cold, nasty kind. Do we have to go that way?
Eilir: He did. We found that out the hard way.
Eilir: We could go around. Would you mind flying up to see if there’s a better way?
Avaril the Average: You haven’t got a choice if you want to avoid this thing…
Bob: I’ll go look. I’m sure it’s not that bad. I just hate the snow.
Æthelmyr: Let’s just get through as quickly as we can.
Campaign saved.
Æthelmyr: It’s snow! Snow is fun.
Eilir: We’ll wait here and keep an eye out for fey.
Æthelmyr: Let’s go make snowballs.
Bob flies up and begins looping around.
Eilir: Let’s not get too close.
Eilir: If it’s theirs, they probably won’t like us touching it.
Æthelmyr: But there’s so much of it…
Xenia: can you make snowballs out of a glacier? wouldn’t they be ice chunks? I don’t want ot get in an ice chunk fight with anyone.
Eilir: We could use this time to figure out those scrolls and potions, I guess.
Avaril the Average: If they don’t like us touching it it’s tough shit to them and we’ll just rip our their little fey throats.
Eilir: Have at it then.
Eilir waves Avaril toward the glacier.
Avaril the Average: After you.
Avaril the Average pats her on the backside with his staff.
Eilir: I already said I’m not going any closer. I’m going to wait here for Bob.
Eilir sets her backpack down to give her shoulders a rest.
Bob swoops back in about 10 minutes later.
Bob: I’m back!
Eilir: Welcome back, Bob. What did you find?
Bob: It’s cold up there.
Campaign saved.
Eilir: I’ll bet.
Bob: I think I’ll stay on the ground.
Keah (Eilir): lol aethelmyr should give bob her cloak.
Keah (Eilir): it would look funny.
Matt (Avaril the Average): You look funny.
Bob: But I saw lots of stuff. The mountains are weird. It’s like a maze of spiky peaks.
Matt (Avaril the Average): FUNNYLOOKIN
Eilir: Did you find a good way around this glacier?
Xenia: Thats unusual.
Eilir: What’s unusual?
Bob: There are lots of valleys and stuff. We just need to keep going west, right? That shouldn’t be so hard.
Avaril the Average: This group of people.
Xenia: The mountain-y maze. Unless Bob was being metaphorical?
Eilir: What, did you expect them to be in tidy ranks?
Bob: I mean, you’re all good climbers, and I can always fly up if it’s not stone.
Eilir: Well… let’s get moving then.
Xenia: alright. Lets press on, then?
Keah (Eilir): So do we need to backtrack a bit, or are we going to climb the valley wall?
Campaign saved.
DM: You tell me. This valley has been the lowest point as long as you’ve been following it. You’ve passed other, higher valleys where the glacier cut across them ages ago, but nothing as low or easy to follow as the old glacier bed you’re in now.
Æthelmyr: I say just follow the glacier bed.
Eilir: So how do we want to do this, guys?
Æthelmyr: We’re after the Legs of Lolth, and we lost enough time in Duvik’s Pass.
Eilir: It’ll be colder the closer we get to the glacier. None of us are really dressed for that.
Æthelmyr: Backtracking will add more time to our trip and runs the risk of having us run into more orcs.
Eilir: And Drow.
Eilir: Xenia, Avaril, what do you think?
Avaril the Average: I couldn’t care less.
Xenia: I can do a little about the cold, so thats . not a big worry
Eilir: It does seem to be the fastest route. And Æthelmyr’s got a point.
Campaign saved.
Eilir: Let’s just keep going through the glacier bed like we have and just stay alert.
Xenia: That seems wise.
Eilir: we keep following the glacier bed then.
Bob: If you’re going to go over the glacier, I think I’m going to change my mind.
Eilir: Come on, Bob, it won’t be so bad.
Eilir: It’s the quickest way away from those orcs.
Æthelmyr: Bob, if you leave, who will I talk to?
Avaril the Average: You can fly. You don’t ever have to touch the ice.
Eilir: Or Xenia’s got a spell to help with the cold, I think.
Sam (Xenia): I’m confused. what was bobs plan originally?
Avaril the Average: Everything. You never shut up. Ever.
Bob: Fey are weird and tricky. I’m going to fly after all. I’ll meet you on the other side. I don’t want them to turn me into an icicle or something.
Æthelmyr looks slightly abashed.
Avaril the Average: Even Eilir hates you for it and she loves just about everything.
Keah (Eilir): bob was heading west to the desert to escape the orc hunters.
Æthelmyr: I can’t help it….
Eilir: Alright, Bob, we’ll see you on the other side, then. Stay safe!
Sam (Xenia): no, I mean for us? to go west and climb things?
Avaril the Average: But some solid rope can.
Eilir: I don’t hate you, Æthelmyr. Avaril’s just a grumpyface.
Æthelmyr: Oh, OK.
Avaril the Average grumps some more.
Keah (Eilir): I think so. He just wants to avoid the glacier.
Sam (Xenia): okay.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Okay.
dublish (Æthelmyr): OK.
Campaign saved.
Avaril the Average: Shaaaall we?
Avaril the Average pushes Eilir in the hindquarters with his staff.
Eilir stumbles forward, returns to grab her pack and then heads out across the glacier.
DM: You’re not to the glacier yet…
Eilir: toward the glacier then.
Keah (Eilir): following our chosen route.
User ‘Keah’ has gone AFK.
DM: As you near the glacier lake, three women rise out of the water. Two stand in the shallows, while the last approaches you. All three have green-gold hair, blending the color of electrum and old copper, and skin so pale it almost blends in with the icy face of the glacier.
Matt (Avaril the Average): WHERE THE FUCK DID YOU GO GOD DAMNIT?
Æthelmyr: Oooooo.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Great, our party mouth is AFK
Æthelmyr: Do you think they’re friendly?
Matt (Avaril the Average): Correction: Our GOOD partymouth.
Æthelmyr: Hello! Are you friendly?
DM: You can’t quite tell if they are wearing light, wet clothing or are covered only with a light layer of frost.
Campaign saved.
Matt (Avaril the Average): The next time someone asks if you’re a god…
Matt (Avaril the Average): Sam doesn’t get it.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Oh, I’m the only male in the party…
Avaril the Average -> [SAVE] Will [1d20+8 = 13]
Æthelmyr: You should be careful not to catch hypothermia if you spend a lot of time in that water!
Lady: We seek no quarrel. Are YOU friendly?
Eilir is speaking :
Æthelmyr, I’ll bet they’re the fey Bob was talking about.
Translated Draconic: Æthelmyr, I’ll bet they’re the fey Bob was talking about.
Æthelmyr: Oh yes, I’m VERY friendly!
Eilir: Most of us are.
Avaril the Average: I will you no harm but also no gain.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Neutral, like a true Witcher.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Sam doesn’t get it.
Keah (Eilir): no sex cards from these women, matt. wrong game.
Matt (Avaril the Average): : (
Matt (Avaril the Average): But then you would have to draw naughty pictures.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Oh yeah, I miss those. Those were fun.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Trade you a rookie prostitute for your professional harlot.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Not for sale.
Matt (Avaril the Average): nrfb
dublish (Æthelmyr): I’ve got a couple of naughty schoolteachers though, interested?
Lady (smiling): What brings such travelers this way? We rarely get visits from the outside any more.
Æthelmyr: Oh, we’re just going to the desert.
Eilir: Just passing through.
Eilir nudges Æthelmyr.
Æthelmyr: We’re looking for someone down there, and since they’re not here, we’ve got to go there to find them.
Avaril the Average (smiling): Oh, the weather back home was a little warm…
Campaign saved.
Æthelmyr: Well, if you’re going to tell them, then tell them, or don’t, but I’m going to say SOMETHING if nobody else will.
Æthelmyr: Pouty face.
Eilir: We don’t have to tell everyone everything.
Lady: That is too bad. You would be welcome to stay with us as long as you like.
Eilir: We can’t really. We’re in a bit of a hurry. But thank you for the offer.
Lady: If you girls insist. Is there anything else we can offer you on your way?
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Sense Motive [1d20+2 = 12]
[TOWER] GM -> [SKILL] Escape Artist [1d20+9 = 29]
Avaril the Average: Oh surely we’re not in the utmost hurry. A brief stop here for some relaxation and entertainment…
Eilir: You’re welcome to stay, Avaril. But I’m keen to keep moving.
Avaril the Average: Oh I shouldn’t abandon you. You need me afterall…
Lady: We would be happy to help you on your way, girl, if your man will stay and live with us. My sisters and I do get so lonely here.
Avaril the Average: Oh well I couldn’t stay here long but surely our little group could wile away an hour or so…
Æthelmyr: Avaril, you can’t! How will Eilir feel?
Eilir: He’s not mine. He’s no one’s but his own.
Eilir: I’m telling you, Æthelmyr, there’s nothing going on between us.
Avaril the Average: Yeah but who would drag your ass out of harm if I weren’t here for you?
Eilir: Except perhaps a mutual dislike.
Avaril the Average: Literally.
Eilir: Xenia.
Avaril the Average: Perhaps you don’t recall I dragged her away as well.
Campaign saved.
Xenia: Yes, yes, you saved us, great and wonderful adventurer. But I don’t htink its a good idea to stay here.
Eilir: Come on.
Eilir keeps walking.
Æthelmyr: Yeah, we’re moving too slowly as it is.
Eilir: Bob’s probably already getting bored waiting for us.
Avaril the Average: Well I suppose I couldn’t part company with my charges. I’m sorry ladies. But if I we were to happen back by later on with more time on our hands…
Lady (laughing lightly): You are a funny group. But really, good sir, are we not plesant enough to you? We would tell your friends the way, make sure they can reach the desert.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Sense Motive [1d20+2 = 18]
Eilir is speaking :
Xenia, do you know anything about fey?
Translated Elven: Xenia, do you know anything about fey?
DM: You already tried that.
Xenia -> [SKILL] Knowledge (Nature) [MOD:INT] [1d20+1 = 8]
Avaril the Average: They’re no so much my friends as my responsibility at this point. There’s a storied history behind why they need my guiding hands.
Xenia: Is the thin air up here affecting Avaril’s memory? humph
DM: You don’t pick up anything one way or another. This lady is totally unreadable.
Sam (Xenia): I don’t think I know anything much about fey.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Knowledge [1d20+4 = 15]
Eilir is speaking :
At least he’s acting like he wants to help now.
Translated Elven: At least he’s acting like he wants to help now.
Eilir -> [ABILITY] Intelligence check [1d20+2 = 11]
Keah (Eilir): Well, there’s 10 for me on Knowledge (Nature).
Lady: Let us lift that burden from you. We will give them all they need to pass the glacier. You can live with us, without worry or care.
Xenia is speaking :
naked women in frost clothes apparently make him nicer.
Translated Elven: naked women in frost clothes apparently make him nicer.
Avaril the Average -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+1 = 8]
Eilir is speaking :
I’d imagine naked women in general would have that effect.
Translated Elven: I’d imagine naked women in general would have that effect.
Æthelmyr (whispering): Avaril, these people seem really creepy…
Avaril the Average (whispering): Yes, but look at their forms. Eilir could certainly take lessons from them…
Keah (Eilir): because i can totally take lessons on how my body develops… ^^;
Xenia: for all your talk about wanting whores, I don’t think you actually want to BE one
Keah (Eilir): lol sam
Sam (Xenia): also whispering.
Avaril the Average: I cannot be a whore, I lack your qualifications.
Æthelmyr: Zing.
Campaign saved.
Æthelmyr: No! No! I meant what Xenia said!
dublish (Æthelmyr): Fucking lag.
Eilir: Come ON!
Æthelmyr: Avaril, please come on?
Eilir waves her arms around.
Sam (Xenia): haha, thanks Aethelmyr
Avaril the Average: Fine. But you three had best make this up to me later. Either we stop back by or I don’t know but damn you. Damn you all.
Avaril the Average: Ladies, I’m so dutifully sorry.
Lady walks up to Avaril and places a hand on his arm.
Eilir: I will buy you a whore at the next town we reach. How about that?
Avaril the Average: I would brighten your day if I weren’t such a pillar of support for these other ladies here.
Avaril the Average: Three whores. At once.
Lady: Your friends need our help. And you will have no more worries.
Avaril the Average: My that’s… Chilly.
Eilir: One, but you get to choose.
Sam (Xenia): munchkin!
Lady: Spend your days with my sisters and I, in ecstacy beneath the water. Your friends will be fine.
Matt (Avaril the Average): What?
Keah (Eilir): i don’t get it either.
Avaril the Average: I have a mild problem with water. I’m not an avid swimmer and I tend to breathe air. Exclusively…
Keah (Eilir): Hey, anyone remember that time kyle got suckered in by a succubus?
Sam (Xenia): your whore payment reminded me of munchkin negotiation
Keah (Eilir): oh. lol.
Lady: You will suffer no harm. We will keep you safe. You are our guest.
Lady: We desire only your company. Your companions will be fine. You will be happier. You know I speak truth.
Avaril the Average: But I couldn’t leave my companions. They need my assistance. And sometimes I need theirs…
dublish (Æthelmyr): Yeah, and I remember winning against that succubus, too.
Sam (Xenia): this lady is creepy
Avaril the Average subtly waves his hand behind his back.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Gordün 1, supernatural temptresses 0.
Keah (Eilir): You did. But this just reminded me of that. You won even AFTER she kissed you a couple times.
Eilir -> [SKILL] Sense Motive [1d20+1 = 7]
Keah (Eilir): is that a "please help me" hand or a "just keep walking" wave?
Matt (Avaril the Average): Oh Sam wasn’t there for that. Sam you missed it, we fathered the anti…Whatever.
Campaign saved.
Æthelmyr (whispering): Avaril, I really think these ladies want to kill you, please let’s just go.
Avaril the Average: Kill me with kindness perhaps. But I’m afraid I must take my leave dears. We’ll return soon. Then you can keep all of us company…
Avaril the Average steps back towards the party.
Avaril the Average (whispering): Eilir I hope your happy. Brazen nudity like this doesn’t happen along every day.
Eilir (whispering): I’ll be happier when we get out of here.
Eilir: I try to keep going. Again.
Æthelmyr turns away to follow Eilir.
Avaril the Average places his hand on Eilir’s shoulder and follows.
Xenia follows as well, keeping a side eye on the ladies.
Campaign saved.
Matt (Avaril the Average): You have an eye on the side of your head!?
Matt (Avaril the Average): CLERIC ABILITY WHAT!?
Keah (Eilir): I believe you’ve mentioned these creatures before.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Oh fuck there’s at least eleven of them.
DM: The women in the lake begin to sing a haunting, unearthly melody.
Eilir: Of course.
Matt (Avaril the Average): It’s okay, we’re not in a boat.
Æthelmyr: Creepycreepycreepycreeps.
DM: Avaril needs to make a Will save.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Therefor: We are safe and immune.
Keah (Eilir): Someone who can’t sing, try to sing over them! Maybe it’ll drown them out.
Keah (Eilir): Who’s immune?
Avaril the Average -> [SAVE] Will [1d20+8 = 25]
Matt (Avaril the Average): Fuck them.
DM: Avaril feels tendrils of magic in the music, prying at his mind, but he resists their allure.
Avaril the Average: They’re fondling my mind and it’s not as fun as it is when I do it to whores can we please leave I’m uncomfortable and I don’t like this also it’s cold.
Eilir: Aaaand he’s back. Good.
Eilir -> [INIT] [1d20+2 = 10]
Matt (Avaril the Average): THIS WASN’T COMBAT UNTIL YOU MADE IT COMBAT!
Æthelmyr -> [INIT] [1d20+4 = 20]

Avaril the Average -> [INIT] [1d20+2 = 3]
Keah (Eilir): it’s combat now.
Xenia -> [INIT] [1d20+1 = 3]
Matt (Avaril the Average): That goes to the wizard who has a larger dex bonus. The fuck?
Xenia: I don’t like the cold. And Avaril is still wrestling his hormones under control
Keah (Eilir): 2PP to add 10 to your init.
Campaign saved.
Sam (Xenia): oops…that was supposed to be ooc

Avaril the Average: Try not to ruin their looks!
DM: I thought so
Matt (Avaril the Average): NPC classes.
DM: Either way, it’s dying with an arrow in its chest.
Keah (Eilir): alright. I fixed it onmy sheet. it looks like it recognises something in the weapon properties.
Keah (Eilir): Oh! It’s set as a thrown weapon for some reason.
Keah (Eilir): fixed it so it’s actually right now.
[TURN] Avaril the Average
Eilir (sarcastically): I’ll try.
Avaril the Average: You’ll owe me double the amount of whores…
Eilir: No, I don’t think so.
Avaril the Average -> [ATTACK (R)] Heavy Fucking Crossbow [CRIT 19] [1d20+2 = 10]

Avaril the Average: This could have been avoided had you been willing to keep us company up here!
[TURN] Rusalka 3
DM: [ATTACK (M)] Dagger [CRIT 19] [1d20+5 = 13]
Attack [13] -> [at Æthelmyr] [MISS]
Matt (Avaril the Average): Lake? I thought there was a glacier. I don’t know what’s what anymore… :’ (
DM: The first woman stabs again at Aethelmyr, then retreats into the glacier lake with her ‘sisters’.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Glake?
[TURN] Eilir
Eilir: Well, that ended well.
Eilir: Let’s keep going.
Æthelmyr: Right, off we go.
Avaril the Average: What a waste of good whores…
Keah (Eilir): are we still combating?
Avaril the Average trudges away.
Campaign saved.
DM: no
Eilir: Not every female is a whore, Avaril.
Xenia: and not all whores are female.
Eilir: This is also true.
Eilir is walking while talking.
Æthelmyr: I dunno, were you listening to them? I think Avaril might be right…
Eilir: I think they were trying to lure him in with sweet words and then kill all of us.
Eilir: And whores usually want payment.
Matt (Avaril the Average): We lost connection for a moment. Did we miss anything?
Keah (Eilir): I don’t think so.
DM: It is only a short distance further around the lake to the face of the glacier. It is low where it grinds into the lake, but not so low that you wouldn’t have to climb up. The walls of the valley beside the glacier are steep, covered in loose earth, gravel, and sparce scrub.
Eilir: It looks like it’d be easier to go over the glacier.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+14 = 16]
Eilir: I have a better idea.
Campaign saved.
Æthelmyr maybe jumps up to the glacier.
Eilir sets down her pack and digs out a coil of rope and her grappling hook.
Keah (Eilir): how do i grappling hook?
Avaril the Average: Why do you have that?
Eilir: It’s handy.
Avaril the Average: It’s… Hooky.
Avaril the Average: Hookerish.
DM: Grappling hooks use Use Rope, I believe.
Avaril the Average: Why did you say ‘handy’? It’s too soon.
Avaril the Average glances mournfully back to the water.
DM: Aethelmyr gets a hold on the lip of the glacier.
Keah (Eilir): it does.
Eilir -> [SKILL] Use Rope [1d20+2 = 18]
Avaril the Average: Seems easy enough…
Keah (Eilir): 10 + 2/10ft higher than 10ft.
Avaril the Average -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+1 = 12]
Keah (Eilir): phb86, if you want it.
Xenia -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+2 = 15]
DM: Eilir’s hook bites into the top of the ice shelf.
Keah (Eilir): oh. and it’s in the FG skills description.
Eilir: I close my pack then tie it to the bottom of the rope.
Eilir: Xenia, up you go.
Eilir motions to the rope.
Xenia: Thank you!
Avaril the Average: I’ll follow you two as the last.
Eilir: Fine.
DM: Aethelmyr, Eilir, and Xenia need to make Climb checks to pull themselves up over the lip of the glacier.
Xenia -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+2 = 16]
Eilir -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+4 = 9]
Keah (Eilir): …
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+2 = 20]
Keah (Eilir): eh, i should be good. there’s a weall to brace against, right?
Campaign saved.
DM: There is, but it’s slippery. You aren’t able to brace against it on your first try.
Keah (Eilir): I’ll try again then.
Eilir -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+4 = 20]
Avaril the Average stares up.
Keah (Eilir): There.
Xenia: no you’ve got teh hang of it
DM: That time you make it just fine.
Keah (Eilir): I’m glad I’m wearing trousers.
Eilir: Come on, Avaril.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Rope or climb first?
Keah (Eilir): The rope has been used.
DM: Just climb
Avaril the Average -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+1 = 2]
Avaril the Average: The rope’s all ropey…
Eilir tries to hide her laughter.
Avaril the Average: What if I grab on to it and you pull me up?
DM: You fall on your tailbone. It is sore.
Avaril the Average grabs the rope and waits expectantly.
Xenia: Just try again.
Eilir: I already have to pull up my pack. I don’t know if I can lift it AND you.
Æthelmyr: I can help.
Avaril the Average: That’s why you have accomplices.
Eilir: Just climb up.
Avaril the Average: And suffer another fall?!
Eilir: You won’t know until you try.
Avaril the Average: Look, you already have to pull up your pack and the rope. Might as well kill three birds with three women.
Campaign saved.
Eilir: I don’t wan’t to. The ground’s cold. Just climb, will you?
Xenia: CLIMB!
Avaril the Average: [1d20 = 17]
Matt (Avaril the Average): Oopsplusone
Eilir: There, see?
Avaril the Average: And how much easier for me would it have been had you all banded together and pulled me up? A lot.
DM: Avaril scales the glacier’s face without incident.
DM: Well, further incident.
Eilir I pull up my pack, work the grappling hook free of hte ice and re-coil the rope before placing them back in my pack and my pack on my shoulders.
Eilir: It was easier for us for you to do it yourself.
Æthelmyr: And off we go.
Eilir: And look, now you can say you’ve climbed a glacier.
Avaril the Average: I couldn’t care less.
Eilir: Let’s go find Bob.
Avaril the Average: Who am I to regale with these tales of excitement? A common whore? You?
Eilir: Please, don’t try to regale me.
Avaril the Average begins to tell Eilir stories of their adventures in the most poetic way he can.
Eilir ignores him.
Eilir is speaking :
And he thinks you’re annoying, Æthelmyr…
Translated Draconic: And he thinks you’re annoying, Æthelmyr…
Avaril the Average throws in grand gestures and small overtures.
Avaril the Average: It’s rude to interrupt my regaling you.
Æthelmyr is speaking :
What? How?
Translated Draconic: What? How?
Campaign saved.
Eilir is speaking :
He thinks you talk too much about nonsense. At least it’s usually not something we’ve heard before. Or done…
Translated Draconic: He thinks you talk too much about nonsense. At least it’s usually not something we’ve heard before. Or done…
Æthelmyr is speaking :
Shhhh, I’m trying to listen to Avaril.
Translated Draconic: Shhhh, I’m trying to listen to Avaril.
Avaril the Average grabs Eilir’s hands and starts merrily dancing to celebrate their victory over the heinous kobolds and necrorcs.
Eilir sighs in resignation and looks around for Bob.
Avaril the Average: AND SO WE ARE THE BEST! AROUND!
Avaril the Average: NOTHING WILL EVER KEEP US DOWN!
Keah (Eilir): one of my hands is holding a bow.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Then we are haphazardly dancing with a bow as well.
Keah (Eilir): careful i don’t try to knock you on the head wit hti.
Avaril the Average: There! Consider yourself regaled! What hapless whore is next?
Keah (Eilir): Are we there yet?
Keah (Eilir): XD;;
DM: The surface of the glacier is rough, uneven ice, pitted with the occasional small crevasse. It continues to rise to the west, just like the valley floor. It curves to the left in the distance. It is essentially featureless, save for a few random large lumps of light gray, fluffy substance at random intervals.
Sam (Xenia): is it noticably colder once we get on teh glacier?
Eilir: What are those, I wonder?
DM: No colder than it was on the valley floor.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Can we see Bob?
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Knowledge [1d20+4 = 17]
Matt (Avaril the Average): Robert?
DM: no
dublish (Æthelmyr): Knowledge for the fluffy things.
Campaign saved.
Avaril the Average -> [SKILL] Sense Motive [1d20+4 = 14]
Keah (Eilir): sam! maybe they’re mushrooms! glacier mushrooms!
Matt (Avaril the Average): Motive for the fluffy things.
Eilir -> [ABILITY] Intelligence check [1d20+2 = 5]
DM: You have no idea what the fluffy piles are, or what they want from you.
Keah (Eilir): I dont’ think I know anything about them beyond the fact that they’re fluffy.
Avaril the Average: You’re drooling a bit there Eilir. Feeling a little overregaled?
Eilir: Who’s drooling?
Matt (Avaril the Average): Your failed int check.
Eilir whipes her mouth with her sleeve anyway. Just in case.
Sam (Xenia): haha
Eilir: I go over to inspect one of the piles of fluff.
Avaril the Average smiles at a job well done.
DM: As you near the pile, you feel suddenly, sharply cold. Make a fortitude save.
Eilir -> [SAVE] Fortitude [1d20+6 = 24]
Eilir: Brrrr…
DM: The cold near the pile is painful, but you steel yourself against it. You get a good enough look to tell it is some sort of moss or lichen before you are forced to withdraw.
Eilir: We should stay away from those piles. But they are some sort of plant.
Campaign saved.
Xenia -> [SKILL] Knowledge (Nature) [MOD:INT] [1d20+1 = 4]
Eilir: Bob wasn’t kidding about being turned into an icicle.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Sam.
Matt (Avaril the Average): You are enjoyable.
Sam (Xenia): dang it, I have rolled a 3 everytime I try to use my new skills.
Keah (Eilir): Told you the
Keah (Eilir): y might be mushrooms.
Xenia: Ah yes, they do look like some kind of plant.
Sam (Xenia): grrr
Avaril the Average: How would you know? You don’t seem to know much about nature…
Sam (Xenia): harhar
[TOWER] GM -> [1d20 = 10]
Keah (Eilir): it would be cool (heh) if we could bottle some. ice grenade!
[w] -> Æthelmyr: You see something moving at the corner of your vision - something humanoid. When you double-take, there’s nothing there.
[w] Eilir: if i were to hold my longbow in my left hand, could i wield my longsword with my right?
[w] -> Eilir: Sure
[w] Eilir: any penalties? i’m just tired of dropping my weapons every time i want to switch…
Æthelmyr: Let’s keep going, girls.
[w] Eilir: and this seems a logical solution, though it doesn’t allow me to use my shield.
Eilir: Let’s. Stay away from the icemoss.
[w] -> Eilir: Just that you can’t do anything else with it. Like the shield. No penalties on rolls or anything.
Æthelmyr: Between frosty women and fluffy ice, this place gives me…
dublish (Æthelmyr): Sunglasses.
Æthelmyr: Chills.
Eilir: the shivers?
Keah (Eilir): close enough.
dublish (Æthelmyr): YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Campaign saved.
Avaril the Average: Girls?
Matt (Avaril the Average): I’m a man, I’m 40.
dublish (Æthelmyr): You can take it.
Æthelmyr: Girls, and Avaril.
Eilir: we keep following the glacier. or our path, if the glacier is merely crossing it.
[w] -> Æthelmyr: You see the shape in the corner of your eye again. It appears frequently, randomly, but it’s never there when you look.
Æthelmyr: Anybody else see that?
Eilir: See what?
Æthelmyr: There was… a thing.
Eilir: What kind of thing?
Æthelmyr: Human-ish?
Eilir: O… kay…
Æthelmyr: I didn’t get a good look.
Eilir: Let’s see if it’s following us or just passing by.
Avaril the Average: Where?
Eilir: Let us know if you see it again.
Æthelmyr points in the direction she last saw whatever it was.
Avaril the Average: If only we had someone that we knew and could trust flying above us who could provide information from such a high vantage point.
Avaril the Average: Damn.
Avaril the Average: Damn damn damn it all.
Eilir: You’re a wizard. Conjure yourself some wings.
Campaign saved.
Avaril the Average: It takes more than magic to get me off the ground woman.
Avaril the Average smarmbrow.
Eilir: Yes. You obviously need some help climbing and usually have to have someone do it for you.
Avaril the Average: It’s best when someone else does all the work…
Eilir: Lazy.
Avaril the Average: Pleasant.
[TOWER] GM -> [1d100 = 41]
[TOWER] GM -> [1d100 = 89]
DM: You pick your way carefully over the glacier’s surface. It is slow going, but not difficult. You pass around the bend in the valley, and see a high ice fall a few hundred yards ahead.
Xenia: uh oh
Campaign saved.
[w] -> Æthelmyr: The thing in the corner of your eye continues to bother you.
Avaril the Average: You have your hook still?
Avaril the Average elbows Eilir.
Æthelmyr: There it is again!
Eilir: Where?
Æthelmyr: Well, there it WAS again.
Æthelmyr points.
Eilir: Did you see it any better, or is it still just "human-ish?"
Æthelmyr: How is nobody else seeing this?
Æthelmyr: Am I goin crazy?
Æthelmyr: I’m too young to go crazy!
Sam (Xenia): brb
User ‘Sam’ has gone AFK.
Eilir: You’re fine, Æthelmyr! I’m sure it’s just a trick of the light, or it’s REALLY stealthy.
Eilir: You have better eyes than the rest of us anyway.
Keah (Eilir): Ice fall or ice wall?
Matt (Avaril the Average): The fuck did you go Sam?
DM: Ice fall. It’s like a waterfall, but slower and ice.
Keah (Eilir): oh. cool.
Keah (Eilir): is it in the way? or just there.
User ‘Sam’ is back.
Campaign saved.
DM: It’s a 40-foot-high drop in the glacier where the surface ice cracks, jutting out in massive, slowly shifting spires.
Keah (Eilir): oooooh…
Keah (Eilir): well, i have 50’ of rope, so i guess we’re good.
DM: So effectively, it is a wall. A very slippery, dangerous wall.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Going lower than our current elevation or higher?
DM: It goes up from where you are.
Eilir: Well, looks like we’re still going up. Everyone ready for another climb?
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+14 = 21]
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+2 = 10]
Eilir: Æthelmyr… I have a rope we can use, you know…
Avaril the Average: If she wants to do it the difficult way than let her. Each woman is different you know.
ElectricCaveman: You people really don’t pick up on distances I tell you…
Keah (Eilir): 100ft ahead.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Yeah how do you plan on throwing it 40 feet up?
Keah (Eilir): sorry. a few hundred yards ahead.
ElectricCaveman: a few hundred yards ahead. There’s lots to happen before you get there :D
Keah (Eilir): But I can see the icefall, so I know we’re going up.
Æthelmyr walks a few hundred yards ahead.
Keah (Eilir): Æthelmyr just gets so excited over new things!
Matt (Avaril the Average): Maybe _I_ am.
Eilir: Don’t get too far ahead, Æthelmyr!
Keah (Eilir): She’s a silver dragon. she’s trying to cloudwalk. or something…
Keah (Eilir): kyle, are you gonna be able to cloud walk!?
Campaign saved.
DM: As you press onward, a wolf materializes in front of you. It is translucent, and growling at you. The fur on its back is on end.
Eilir: Um… Can everyone see through the wolf?
Æthelmyr stops.
Xenia: Oh. My. Scary.
Eilir: Is it a ghost?
Keah (Eilir): Woah… the texture on the maps is skulls… I just realised.
Keah (Eilir): i tilted my computer, and skulls!
Matt (Avaril the Average): There’s no texture.
Keah (Eilir): it’s parchmenty.
Keah (Eilir): and there are skulls.
DM: Another creature apears to your right the same way, this one a badger.
Æthelmyr: These do not look like cute forest critters.
Keah (Eilir): They are the spirits of the forest. But this is a glacier…
Keah (Eilir): that was supposed t obe IC, but whatevs.
DM: A third appears to your left, a cawing raven.
Eilir: Xenia, do something!
dublish (Æthelmyr): So say it IC.
Campaign saved.
Avaril the Average: I would have preferred to fight more naked women if I’m to be honest.
Xenia: I’m a plant person! What am I supposed to do?
DM: fyi, the circles are patches of the gray lichen.
DM: You don’t want to get within 10’ of those.
Eilir: They’re spirits, right? Send them to rest or something.
Keah (Eilir): noted.
Xenia: I don’t know how to do that!
Eilir: Ehlonna likes animals. Just turn them. Or something.
Æthelmyr: Try asking them what they want.
Xenia: Oh spirits, we do not mean you any harm. We simply wish to pass from this place.
Æthelmyr moves up 15 feet.
DM: The wolf growls and bares its teeth.
Eilir: Æthelmyr…
Æthelmyr ponders for a moment, then bares her own teeth and growls back.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Intimidate [1d20+6 = 12]

Eilir: Well, they’re not magical…
Eilir: Let’s get this over with.

Keah (Eilir): whiff
DM: exactly
Keah (Eilir): can I try again?
DM: sure
Eilir: d% [1d100 = 22]
Keah (Eilir): …
Eilir: How long are they asleep for?
Keah (Eilir): because if i don’t do damage, they don’t wake up, right?
Æthelmyr: Just a couple of minutes.
Æthelmyr: If you hurt them, you’ll wake them up.
Eilir: [1d100 = 59]
Eilir: [1d100 = 56]
Æthelmyr: Unless they die.
Keah (Eilir): ohgod!
DM: This time your blade finds purchase. Roll damage.
Keah (Eilir): crit for coup de grace, right?
Keah (Eilir): i forget, because we usually just do it and call it good.
DM: yes
DM: or we can just say it’s dead
Eilir -> [DAMAGE (M)] Magic Heavy Dragonfang Sickle [CRITICAL] [TYPE: slashing] [1d8+1g8+6 = 16]
Damage [0] -> [to Spirit Raven] [RESISTED]
DM: it lies, it’s not resisted
DM: it’s dead
Keah (Eilir): yea, because i can’t do less than 4 damage.
Keah (Eilir): that 56… can that be for the wolf? maybe maybe?
DM: sure
Campaign saved.
Eilir -> [DAMAGE (M)] Magic Heavy Dragonfang Sickle [CRITICAL] [TYPE: slashing] [1d8+1g8+6 = 20]
Damage [0] -> [to Spirit Wolf] [RESISTED]
DM: The wolf also dies.
Eilir: There. Now they’re dead.
Eilir: I think.
[w] -> Æthelmyr: Just a reminder, that thing you keep seeing? You keep seeing it.
[w] Æthelmyr: Argh!
Æthelmyr: OK, let’s get up that ice fall.
Eilir: We have to get TO the ice fall first.
Xenia: Yeah, lets go!
Eilir: Keep an eye out for any more… things.
Xenia heads toward ice fall as fast as possible on the slippery ice
Eilir follows and tries so hard not to laugh.
Keah (Eilir): this includes laughing at myself.
Æthelmyr starts walking.
Keah (Eilir): hey peter, can you put one of the spirit animals back on the combat tracker for a sec? i want to try something.
Eilir -> [DAMAGE (M)] Magic Heavy Dragonfang Sickle [TYPE: slashing,magic] [1d8+3 = 9]
Damage [9] -> [to Spirit Badger] [DYING]
Keah (Eilir): got it. put "magic" in the damage type fixed it.
Campaign saved.
DM: As you near the ice fall, the surface becomes rougher and the crevasses become wider. When you are nearly upon it, you can see two things. First, why the ice falls here - the glacier slides into another valley that crosses it, southeast to northwest. The valley, where it has not been scraped clean by the glacier, is lightly wooded. The second thing you see is the mouth of an obviously unnatural cave carved out of the ice fall.
Eilir: Odd…
Eilir: I’m curious, but we’ve had brilliant luck with caves so far.
Xenia: Is that sarcasm?
Æthelmyr: I think that was sarcasm.
Xenia does not get sarcasm
Eilir: It was most certainly sarcasm.
Xenia: Oh good.
Sam (Xenia): off topic kind of, but Peter, do you have an idea how much longer this will take? like, are we close to as far as you wanted to get tonight? because I’m feeling worse by the minute, and I want to go to bed. But if we are close, I want to finish out.
Sam (Xenia): if we aren’t close, someone can play me.
Matt (Avaril the Average): SAM YOU BETTER FEEL BETTER RIGHT THE FUCK NOW I SWEAR TO GOD
ElectricCaveman: This is a fine stopping point. We did more than we usually do. Bur I can keep going, if people want, too.
Keah (Eilir): i want to keep going, but sam… :(
Sam (Xenia): well, I want to stop. But feel free to keep playing! Heal people, feel incompetent, hit things with quarterstaff. Not hard to play.
Campaign saved.
Keah (Eilir): lol. i’ll play for sam if we want to keep going.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Let’s at least find a decent stopping point I guess.
ElectricCaveman: There’s probably just one more encounter in this adventure.
Sam (Xenia): and i’m sorry I didn’t get the log up for the last bit, I meant to do it yesterday, but instead I layed around feeling sorry for my sick self. I’ll get it done.
Keah (Eilir): one more encounter sam!
Sam (Xenia): alright. night guys. have fun! kill things!
Matt (Avaril the Average): Sam feel better or I’ll punch it out of you.
ElectricCaveman: This is a reasonable stopping point, or we can finish the adventure, or we can run one encounter beyond that.
‘Sam’ connection lost. Waiting for reconnect
ElectricCaveman: It’s up to the three of you.
‘Sam’ disconnected
dublish (Æthelmyr): Finish the adventure!
‘Keah’ reconnected
Keah (Eilir): okay, so, i disconnected. but i’m back. and i’m up for wahtever you guys want to do.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Finish the adventure!
Keah (Eilir): yay!
Matt (Avaril the Average): Finish the campaign!
Campaign saved.
Keah (Eilir): i don’t think we have enough time for that.
ElectricCaveman: I’m not prepped to finish the campaign tonight. I’d need to stat up a nice big-bad. Or kill you all.
Æthelmyr: That cave looks obviously unnatural, and I think we should avoid it.
Keah (Eilir): let’s just finish the adventure tonight.
Keah (Eilir): shall i play sam? or do you want to handle it, peter?
DM: Either way
Keah (Eilir): i’ll run her if you’ll clear her for me.
Keah (Eilir): maybe.
Æthelmyr: Let’s go!
dublish (Æthelmyr): Oh, map.
Keah (Eilir): maaaaaybe…
Campaign saved.
DM: There’s the ice fall face. The arrow is where the cave is.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Is there any way to climb the ice fall?
DM: Yeah, but it’s very hard and dangerous.
ElectricCaveman: If you ever hear about someone dying climbing Everest, it probably happened on the ice fall.
Keah (Xenia): okay it had to think and give me errors first
Campaign saved.
Æthelmyr: Um, on second thought, that cave might actually be a tunnel.
Æthelmyr: I vote tunnel.
Eilir: what about bob?
dublish (Æthelmyr): Sam doesn’t get it.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Sam passed away.
Keah (Eilir): Sam isn’t here.
Æthelmyr: What about Bob?
Eilir: I guess he could fly around and find us. But I’d hate to leave him behind.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Bill Murray, Richard Dreyfuss… worth watching again.
Æthelmyr: I think he’ll be fine.
Xenia: That cave, tunnel thing goes through the glacier? Are we even sure that’s safe?
Æthelmyr: He can FLY, and breathe ACID.
Æthelmyr: Nope.
Æthelmyr: Not sure at all.
Xenia: And you want to go in there!?
Æthelmyr: But I’m sure that climbing is NOT safe.
Æthelmyr: And Avaril can’t climb.
Eilir: I suppose you’re right.
Eilir: Let’s have a look.
Avaril the Average: That’s okay, that’s why I have my counterweight here to lift me up.
Avaril the Average pokes Eilir’s backside with his staff.
Eilir: Would you leave my backside alone? Sheesh!
Campaign saved.
Avaril the Average: No.
Avaril the Average resolutely whaps it again.
Eilir: Come on. Let’s go check out that cave.
Æthelmyr: You guys…
Æthelmyr rolls her eyes.
Æthelmyr (muttering): Kids these days.
Avaril the Average: You’re a child.
DM: The cave stays straight and even for fifty or sixty feet, at which point it suddenly opens into a larger chamber. The whole cave is illuminated by a dim bluish light, filtered through scores of feet of ice.
Eilir: Pretty…
Keah (Eilir): Is there an exit besides the one we came through?
Æthelmyr: At least it’s not dark, right?
DM: In the cave, you see two figures - a beautiful woman in white robes, with snow-white skin and raven-black hair, and a pudgy, naked green-skinned man with hair like old seaweed.
Eilir: Oh! Uh… Hello.
Avaril the Average: Well certainly not the way I’d have this scene…
DM: They are standing beside a pool in the floor. They see you, and the man jumps into the water and disappears below the surface. The woman turns to you, a look of rage in her eyes.
Keah (Eilir): and after all that work you went to to draw the ice fall area.
Keah (Eilir): I think we’re trespassing.
Avaril the Average: Go and, uh, liason…
Avaril the Average pats Eilir.

Keah (Eilir): i was gonna have Xenia cast command, but… she doesn’t speak badger.
Avaril the Average: I place the end of my staff in her mouth and push down as hard as I possibly can to try and kill her.
dublish (Æthelmyr): As long as the badger understands what she speaks, it should work.
Keah (Xenia): but he wouldn’t.
Keah (Xenia): it would just be some chick with pointy ears yelling at him.
DM: You feel tissue give. She quits breathing.
Keah (Xenia): so graphic.
Keah (Xenia): but i guess you preserved her beauty?
ElectricCaveman: It would if Xenia were a gnome…

Æthelmyr loots the snow lady’s body.
Eilir: eilir coup de graces it while Æthelmyr does that.
Eilir: [1d100 = 29]
Eilir: [1d100 = 46]
Eilir: [1d100 = 92]
Eilir: it takes 3 tries.
DM: You find a variety of shiny objects spread neatly, if randomly, around the edge of the room.
Keah (Eilir): Do we get a list for looking around?
Avaril the Average: I peer into the pool. Does it peer back?
Eilir: I keep an eye out for the green-haired man.
DM: The badger ceases to breath, and its heart to beat.
Keah (Eilir): was he a kappa?
DM: The pool is not very deep, but you can see an underwater tunnel leads away, further into the glacier.
ElectricCaveman: no, he was not
Æthelmyr: I’m not going down there.
Keah (Eilir): sounded like it was possible from the description.
Eilir: Yeah, that would probably be smart.
Keah (Eilir): So anything neat among the shinies?
ElectricCaveman: Yuki-onna is a japanese name. Rusalka was a slavic one. That was a vodyanoi, no idea what that comes from. Just whatever happens to be in the book.
ElectricCaveman: It’s slavic, too. Guess I should have put him with the rusalki.
Keah (Eilir): wikipedia says slavic and norse.
Campaign saved.
Keah (Eilir): that was why i guessed kappa, though, because of the yuki onna.
Æthelmyr: Gems!
Eilir: Wow… Quite a haul.
Keah (Eilir): Xenia wants the quarterstaff.
Æthelmyr: Anyone want an axe?
dublish (Æthelmyr): I thought Xenia got a shield and something?
Eilir: It’s certainly pretty, but I can’t use it.
Keah (Eilir): even though i used one on the slavers.
ElectricCaveman: Did Sam ever decide on weapon groups?
Keah (Eilir): I think she took a shield, but she’s not b een using it. She keeps using her quarterstaff.
Keah (Eilir): Yes. She took heavy blades (probably for longsword) and polearms. And quarterstaff, which I think means Basic. But I wasn’t going to change/fix it.
Æthelmyr: Polearms?
dublish (Æthelmyr): OOC.
ElectricCaveman: I knew she’d talked about those, but she never added it to her sheet.
Keah (Eilir): they’re similar to quarterstaffs. that was her reasoning.
Keah (Eilir): they’re on there now. maybe she added them when she levelled?
Æthelmyr: How heavy are mithral ingots?
ElectricCaveman: Maybe. I don’t think they were on earlier today. That must have been it.
DM: 5 to a pound
Keah (Eilir): can she use the quarterstaff as a single-handed weapon without a two-weapon fighting penalty? Because otherwise she only has two-handed weapons except her dagger.
Matt (Avaril the Average): dibsonstaff
dublish (Æthelmyr): Weird.
Eilir: We should definitely take the mithral ingots. Maybe we can have something made with them.
Keah (Eilir): Too late. already called it.
Matt (Avaril the Average): I need it more.
Keah (Eilir): for sam.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Because I’m a wizard and also the only male in the party.
Matt (Avaril the Average): What else will I use for a phallic symbol?
Keah (Eilir): you have a staff. and it’s quite average. very fitting.
Campaign saved.
Avaril the Average Pats Eilir on the behind with his staff.
Avaril the Average: What now, o intrepid leader?
Eilir: We gather up the rest of this and head back out and up the ice fall of course.
dublish (Æthelmyr): I just realized I’ve been carrying a medium load all day, and I’ve moved 30ft a couple of times.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Dibs on both the lute, and the axe then.
ElectricCaveman: I’m not sure what you’re asking. You can’t use a quarterstaff sized for you in one hand. You can use it as a two-handed weapon, rather than a double weapon.
Matt (Avaril the Average): And the bloodstone.
Keah (Eilir): Oh yeah. I meant to drop my pack earlier anyway.
dublish (Æthelmyr): What’s azurite?
Æthelmyr: pockets the aquamarine and the emerald.
Matt (Avaril the Average): I’ve kind of assumed that at the start of combat we usually drop our pants.
Keah (Eilir): I want the aquamarine or the emerald.
dublish (Æthelmyr): damn it.
Æthelmyr pockets the aquamarine and the emerald.
Keah (Eilir): i just want one. you can have the other and the azurite.
Keah (Eilir): XP
Keah (Eilir): I’ll also take the ingots, since I’m at a medium load anyway.
Æthelmyr doesn’t hear Eilir because Eilir hasn’t said anything.
Æthelmyr also pockets the azurite.
Keah (Eilir): Wow. way to give me a chance to react, kyle.
Eilir piles the ingots into her pack.
Keah (Eilir): What happened to the axe?
Æthelmyr thinks that everybody is happy because nobody has complained. She smiles at the thought of loot divied up to everybody’s satisfaction.
Eilir: Let’s get going then.
Eilir heads back out of the cave.
Campaign saved.
Æthelmyr pocket all of the coins, because hey, why not, nobody else wants them, right?
Avaril the Average follows closely while using his staff as a walking stick very closely behind Eilir’s feet.
Keah (Eilir): okay, so how often are we settling loot in character and how often are we doing it ooc?
Keah (Eilir): because we’ve done both and switching is confusing.
dublish (Æthelmyr): OOC is for mechanics stuff. If we’re acting in character, we should be emoting or speaking in character.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Yeah pretty much.
Keah (Eilir): well earlier we were ooc-ing it anyway. so kyle suddenly deciding "i’m going to pocket all the coins and stuff and it’s settled" isn’t very fair.
ElectricCaveman: Then object in character
Eilir: Split the coins, Æthelmyr. We all helped.
Æthelmyr: Oh, OK.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Just a sec, let me math.
dublish (Æthelmyr): 11675.75 copper for everyone or….
Campaign saved.
DM: 101+3 gp, 138+1 sp, 118+1 cp.
dublish (Æthelmyr): What he said.
Keah (Eilir): so 101GP each plus 3 extra? is that how it works?
dublish (Æthelmyr): extra goes to Xenia for potions?
Keah (Eilir): works.
Æthelmyr: OK, everyone good?
Eilir: One sec. Let me get these settled in my bag.
Eilir: Okay, let’s go.
Æthelmyr: Hopefully we can find some way off this glacier.
Eilir: Up. Up is the way off this glacier. Or at least that’s my best guess.
Æthelmyr: OK.
Æthelmyr: OK, let’s do this thing.
Eilir: Are you going to try to climb yourself or wait for me to toss the rope up?
Æthelmyr drops her pack.
Keah (Eilir): that wasn’t a joke. she was sincerely asking.
Æthelmyr: Try the rope.
Æthelmyr: Hopefully it can catch.
Eilir: Alright.
Eilir: Here goes!
Æthelmyr: If not, I’ll try climbing up there.
Keah (Eilir): we are outside now, right?
Campaign saved.
DM: You head back out of the cave.
DM: You’re once again facing down the ice fall.
Keah (Eilir): Is it all moving?
DM: Not quickly enough for you to see.
Keah (Eilir): Oh. Okay.
Eilir finds a likely spot to climb and sets down her pack.
Eilir: Bring your stuff over here. We’ll haul it all up after us. Sound good?
Keah (Eilir): it’s 40ft high, yes?
DM: on average
Eilir -> [SKILL] Use Rope [1d20+4 = 24]
Eilir hurls the grappling hook.
Keah (Eilir): forgot the +2 for silk rope last time.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Because it mattered.
Keah (Eilir): it may have.
DM: It’s not a solid cliff of ice. It’s a mess of huge icy spikes and dark crevasses. Make a survival check to figure out the best place to try to climb.
Eilir -> [SKILL] Survival [1d20+1 = 18]
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Survival [1d20+1 = 2]
Xenia -> [SKILL] Survival [ASSIST] [1d20+4 = 13]
Avaril the Average -> [SKILL] Survival [1d20+4 = 16]
Æthelmyr: This TOTALLY looks like a good spot!
Eilir: I… I don’t think so…
Eilir: How about over here?
Campaign saved.
Æthelmyr: What? Whats so good about your spot?
Avaril the Average: We aren’t going to die.
Eilir: Go ahead and try to climb over there if you like. This is where I’m putting the rope.
Eilir: Now I hurl the grappling hook?
Æthelmyr: Oh… Oh, well, um… I guess that makes sense…
DM: We can use your toss from earlier.
Keah (Eilir): yay!
Æthelmyr clearly doesn’t recognize the difference between the death trap she has found and the relatively safe path Eilir has located.
DM: You get your grappling hook to snare on the top of an icy ledge, where you can start your climb.
Eilir gives it a tug just to make sure.
Keah (Eilir): a steady tug
DM: Your hook holds.
Avaril the Average: I believe Aethelmyr should climb first. Then Xenia. Then Eilir. Then myself.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+14 = 21]
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+2 = 9]
Eilir: Alright. Anyone who doesn’t want to climb with your pack, bring it over here. We’ll tie them together and hoist them up at the end.
Æthelmyr leaps up to grab the rope as high as possible.
Avaril the Average sets his pack down.
Eilir: You good, Æthelmyr?
Xenia sets her pack with Avaril’s and Eilir’s.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Am I good?
DM: You slam into the icy wall face first, and fail to get a solid hold on the rope, sliding back down. You slam just as hard into the ground when you reach the bottom of the rope.
Keah (Eilir): With those rolls, I picture you jumping up a ways on the rope and then just clinging.
Campaign saved.
Keah (Eilir): or that.
Æthelmyr: Ouch.
Eilir: You okay?
DM: That’s exactly what she’s trying to do.
Æthelmyr: Yeah, I’m OK.
Keah (Eilir): Well, I expected she’d just not be able to climb.
Æthelmyr: The ground broke my fall.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+14 = 26]
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+2 = 16]
Eilir: Take off your pack. You might have an easier time.
Æthelmyr tries again.
Eilir: Or not.
dublish (Æthelmyr): I did take my pack off.
Keah (Eilir): I missed that. sorry.
Æthelmyr: My pack’s over there.
Eilir: Right.
DM: You make an impressive leap again, and this time hold onto the rope as you strike the icy face.
Æthelmyr: OK, I’m secure.
Eilir ties the four packs to the end of the rope while Æthelmyr climbs.
Avaril the Average shakes the rope gently from the bottom.
DM: Climb check to make it the rest of the way.
Keah (Eilir): there’s several extra feet, so it should be fine.
Eilir: Stop that!
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+2 = 5]
Avaril the Average stops when she starts to climb.
Æthelmyr: Stop that!
Eilir: And down she comes…
Avaril the Average chuckles to himself as he gets out of the way.
DM: You start to scale the rope, but your feet slip after a few steps up. You fall again to the ground.
Æthelmyr: Oh, gods DAMN it.
Æthelmyr: Darn it.
Eilir: Take a break and let someone else try.
Æthelmyr: Excuse me.
Æthelmyr: Ugh.
Æthelmyr: OK.
Avaril the Average: Excuse you for what?
Avaril the Average: Fuck, shit, fucking shit fuck shit.
Xenia gives Æthelmyr a reproachful look and tries to climb the rope.
Xenia -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+1 = 21]
Keah (Xenia): dang.
Æthelmyr: You’re a bad influence, Avaril.
DM: [1d6 = 1]
Damage [1] -> [to Æthelmyr]
DM: Xenia reaches the top of the first ledge.
Matt (Avaril the Average): CHECKPOINT
Keah (Xenia): first ledge? o.O
Matt (Avaril the Average): 40ftwall
Campaign saved.
Keah (Xenia): yay checkpoint! sam wouldn’t get it.
Keah (Xenia): she might.
DM: yeah. how many times have I said it’s NOT a clean cliff face? You’ve got to climb three or four of these things, at least, plus actually getting from one to the next, which may be just as hard.
DM: And the farther you go, the worst the fall and the less choices you have where to climb.
DM: *worse
Keah (Xenia): okay. so is the grappling hook at the top of the first ledge or the top top? that’s where i was confused.
DM: The top of the first ledge
Keah (Xenia): okay.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Room for all of us up there?
DM: probably
Eilir: Care to try again Æthelmyr? Try not jumping this time.
Keah (Eilir): seriously. your good rolls are cmoing on your jump checks.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+2 = 5]
Keah (Eilir): i’m sorry i jynxed you.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+14 = 17]
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+2 = 4]
Keah (Eilir): lol
Æthelmyr cries.
ElectricCaveman: Did you miss what I mentioned earlier about there being another valley that crosses the glacier, leading northwest? I don’t want to railroad you, but I want to make sure you didn’t miss an option.
Keah (Eilir): this just isn’t your day…
Keah (Eilir): oh… yeah, i missed that.
Campaign saved.
Keah (Eilir): can Xenia see it better from the top of the ledge?
dublish (Æthelmyr): I thought that was where the glacier came from?
DM: No, that’s where the glacier falls.
DM: And she can see some better, some worse. It’s basically more of the same.
dublish (Æthelmyr): OK, what direction is the glacier going?
Keah (Eilir): I was just going to try to do it in-character. since we seem not to have noticed.
DM: The glacier flows southwest (where you’re going) to northeast.
DM: Oh, the valley, not the ice fall. Yeah, she can see more of that.
Keah (Xenia): good.
Xenia peers down over the ledge.
Xenia: Hey guys. There’s a valley over that way. It might be easier going.
Xenia points in the direction of the valley.
Æthelmyr wails in dismay.
Æthelmyr: Yes, let’s PLEASE go that way!
Avaril the Average: And here I was looking forward to being the last to climb.
Xenia: Alright. Let me just… climb back down.
Æthelmyr: We’ll catch you!
Æthelmyr: If you fall, I mean.
Keah (Xenia): can she just slide down the rope or repel or something? or does she need to make another check?
Campaign saved.
DM: No, she has to climb again, sorry. Rappeling is still a climb check.
Keah (Xenia): that’s fine. i was just checking.
Xenia -> [SKILL] Climb [1d20+1 = 2]
Keah (Xenia): woops.
Xenia: Catch meeeeeee!
Avaril the Average: CATCH HER!
Æthelmyr -> [ABILITY] Strength check [1d20+2 = 12]
DM: [2d6 = 7]
Damage [3] -> [to Æthelmyr]
Eilir -> [ABILITY] Strength check [1d20+2 = 16]
Damage [3] -> [to Xenia]
Avaril the Average -> [SAVE] Reflex [1d20+3 = 10]
Æthelmyr: Ouch.
Keah (Eilir): Sorry if I messed up your damage. I wanted to help too.
DM: Aethelmyr got there first.
Keah (Eilir): okay.
Xenia: Thanks…
Keah (Eilir): What do I need to do to pull the grappling hook free again?
DM: use rope again
Eilir: Stand clear!
Eilir: I don’t want anyone getting hooked in the face.
Eilir -> [SKILL] Use Rope [1d20+4 = 8]
Keah (Eilir): …
DM: no luck there
Eilir -> [SKILL] Use Rope [1d20+4 = 20]
DM: That time you are able to pull the hook free.
Keah (Eilir): I must’ve been distracted by trying not to hook people the first time.
Eilir: Phew. Okay. Packs on, let’s get moving.
Campaign saved.
Eilir grabs her pack and stuffs the rope and grappling hook in it.
Æthelmyr dons her pack.
Eilir: So that was fun, huh?
Æthelmyr: Let’s go.
Æthelmyr: That was TERRIBLE.
Æthelmyr: I’m never climbing another rope again.
Æthelmyr: Next rope I see, I’m going to light it on fire.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Do you have a tail?
dublish (Æthelmyr): Yes.
Eilir: Hm… If we had a rope ladder and TWO grappling hooks…
Matt (Avaril the Average): How long is it?
Eilir mumbles to herself and draws in the air with her finger.
Eilir: Oh yeah! PLEASE don’t set my rope on fire. You don’t have to climb it, just leave it alone.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Do we need to make checks to not step on her tail? Can I take-1?
[w] -> Æthelmyr: Don’t forget about that thing you keep seeing!
Keah (Eilir): It’s under her cloak.
[w] Æthelmyr: I choose to ignore things I keep seeing that nobody else sees. :P
Keah (Eilir): and I think I drew it going down to about her ankles, so it doesn’t drag on the ground.
Keah (Eilir): unless kyle wants it to be longer.
Matt (Avaril the Average): What guy doesn’t?
dublish (Æthelmyr): Zing.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Zing me Xenia.
Keah (Eilir): wrong side of the body.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Whatever works, really.
Keah (Eilir): i doubt any man wants a butt-penis.
Keah (Eilir): or maybe i’m wrong.
Keah (Eilir): ANYWAY. glacier. valley. onward!
Campaign saved.
DM: You walk to the edge of the glacier. It drops about 15’ down to the valley floor, but here it is a fairly smooth, straight drop.
Matt (Avaril the Average): That sounds like we haphazardly just walked straight off the edge 3 Stooges style…
Keah (Eilir): lol
ElectricCaveman: To is the operative word, there.
Æthelmyr casts glances over her shoulders as she walks, trying to catch a glimpse of… something.
Avaril the Average: No it doesn’t. Misread "to" instead of "off"
Matt (Avaril the Average): Dummmmmm
Avaril the Average: What are you looking at?
Avaril the Average looks behind him.
Eilir: You seeing that human thing again?
Avaril the Average: Is it a fat naked green man?
Æthelmyr: I am going to go crazy if I keep not seeing that thing.
Eilir: I figured that was that woman we fought back there.
Avaril the Average: She wasn’t fat, or green, or, unfortunately, naked.
Eilir: I mean, you saw it, and then those animas came. And then when we fought her, the badger Xenia frightened showed up.
Keah (Eilir): animals
Keah (Eilir): So we have to climb down now?
DM: Or jump.
Keah (Eilir): Oh yeah. 15’.
Keah (Eilir): can’t wall slide if you’re not a monk, can you?
Campaign saved.
DM: no, but you can still jump down or tumble to lessen the fall damage
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+14 = 22]
Æthelmyr glides off into the sunset.
Eilir -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+4 = 10]
Eilir -> [SKILL] Tumble [1d20+2 = 11]
Avaril the Average: I hang myself off the edge and try to tumble/jump from a now 9’4" fall.
Eilir falls like a stone.
Avaril the Average -> [SKILL] Tumble [1d20+2 = 22]
Keah (Eilir): can’t tumble if untrained, matt.
Matt (Avaril the Average): Fuck. Fuck you. That’s a jump.
Avaril the Average -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+1 = 12]
Xenia -> [SKILL] Jump [1d20+1 = 16]
Xenia cringes and jumps also.
Keah (Xenia): so how’d we do?
DM: Eilir fails. Everyone else takes the fall okay. Sore, but not hurt.
DM: [1d6 = 2]
DM: [1d6 = 2]

Damage [4] -> [to Eilir]
Eilir: Ow…
Eilir: Tuck and roll doesn’t work with a loaded backpack…
Campaign saved.
Eilir: Oh well. Everyone else okay?
Æthelmyr: Yeah, let’s go.
Eilir: we press onward.
Avaril the Average extends a hand to Eilir.
Avaril the Average: Help you up?
[TOWER] GM -> [1d100 = 88]
[TOWER] GM -> [1d100 = 1]
Keah (Eilir): I’m already up and walking…
Matt (Avaril the Average): You weren’t. JerkfaceMcGee.
Æthelmyr: We continue.
DM: You walk downhill through the scrubby plant growth. As you get further from the glacier, it becomes a true subalpine forest.
Eilir: Great! Maybe there will be something other than centipedes to hunt in here.
Campaign saved.
Keah (Eilir): Any sign of Bob?
Keah (Eilir): or did he mean the other side of the mountains when he said "the other side"?
[w] -> Æthelmyr: Not only do you still see the figure in the corner of your eye, it starts speaking to you. Just snatches of words, barely audible whispers in every language you know. Make a will save.
[TOWER] Æthelmyr -> [SAVE] Will [1d20+4 = 9]
[w] Æthelmyr: Tower, didn’t see it.
[TOWER] GM -> [1d3 = 1]
Avaril the Average: When was the last time we stopped to relieve ourselves and others? This hiking nonsense is tripe. We should have procured horses. I hate this.
[w] -> Æthelmyr: You got 9. Not good enough. You take 1 wisdom damage.
Eilir: Horses wouldn’t have made it over that glacier.
Eilir: Shall we take a break? We have been going for a while.
Æthelmyr: Oh my gods, I’m going crazy and I’m hearing voices!
Æthelmyr: I don’t want to stop here!
Æthelmyr: This place is bad!
Æthelmyr: We’re being followed and I’m FREAKING OUT.
[TOWER] GM -> [1d100 = 98]
Avaril the Average: Yes, well, we’re stopping for right now.
Avaril the Average heads towards a nearby tree.
Æthelmyr: No!
Eilir: Um… Okay. Let’s keep going then?
Æthelmyr: That’s a bad idea!
Æthelmyr: You’ve got to believe me, there’s something here!
Xenia: Is it something with the trees?
Eilir: I don’t hear anything.
Avaril the Average: You’ll just have to wait because I can’t stop.
Æthelmyr: No, it’s whatever I kept seeing on the glacier.
Eilir: Let’s keep going then, and keep an eye out.
Eilir knocks an arrow and begins looking around as she walks.
Æthelmyr -> [CAST] Detect Magic
Avaril the Average finishes and returns to the party.
Avaril the Average: Fine, let’s go. You whiney brat.
Campaign saved.
[w] -> Æthelmyr: You don’t see any auras that aren’t on your companions. You do notice, however, that one of those auras is coming from Xenia’s new staff.
Eilir (whispering): So you said you hear voices. What are they saying?
Æthelmyr: I don’t know! But it’s in lots of different languages!
Æthelmyr: And Xenia’s new staff is totally not cool!
Xenia: What!?
Xenia holds the staff out at arm’s length.
[w] Æthelmyr: Concentrate check to figure that one out?
Eilir: Looks like a normal staff to me.
[w] -> Æthelmyr: No, you just have to pay attention for a couple rounds. Spellcraft, if you want to know the school.
Æthelmyr -> [SKILL] Spellcraft [1d20+5 = 9]
Eilir: Maybe we should’ve checked the stuff we looted for magic before we took it…
Avaril the Average: Would you like me to take a look at it? You look perplexed…
[w] -> Æthelmyr: you can’t tell the school of magic on her staff.
Æthelmyr: Please do, I can’t tell what it is.
Eilir: Let me try.
Avaril the Average -> [SKILL] Spellcraft [1d20+9 = 25]
Eilir -> [CAST] Detect Magic
Avaril the Average: No. Back off.
Avaril the Average pushes Eilir away.
Eilir: Too late.
Keah (Eilir): I guess I gesticulate with the arrow for the somatic component. XD
Keah (Eilir): But i can do that! Becaues an arrow is weaponry.
Campaign saved.
[w] -> Avaril the Average: You can tell that the staff is not creating any particular magical effect, at least right now.
Avaril the Average grabs the staff.
Xenia: No!
Avaril the Average: I’ll have to hold on to it for further study. I’m not quite certain what’s going on with it.
Avaril the Average: But I believe something IS going on with it.
[w] -> Eilir: the staff has a faint magic aura. spellcraft for school.
Keah (Xenia): I can’t decide if Xenia wouldn’t trust him on this or just doesn’t want him messing with her stuff. Even if it might be evil. Or if she’d just hand it over…
Eilir -> [SKILL] Spellcraft [1d20+8 = 22]
dublish (Æthelmyr): Sense Motive.
[w] -> Eilir: It is evocation magic.
Xenia -> [SKILL] Sense Motive [1d20+3 = 9]
Eilir: I dunno why he wants it so badly. It’s got a faint aura of evocation.
Eilir: That’s what I got from it, at least.
Xenia isn’t going to hand over the staff for now.
ElectricCaveman: We said we were going to finish that adventure. It is finished. Shall we call it a night?
ElectricCaveman: I’m getting tired. Brain’s going all foggy.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Yes please.
Keah (Eilir): Yes. Sam can decide what to do with her strange new quarterstaff next time.
ElectricCaveman: okay. Matt, you want to write the adventure log?
Keah (Eilir): I’m not free this week at all, it seems. Only day off is Thanksgiving, and my evenings are booked.
Matt (Avaril the Average): I can. I guess. Maybe. I suppose. It won’t exactly be truthful or polite. Or accurate.
dublish (Æthelmyr): I’ll be on vacation Wednesday through Saturday, next Sunday should be free.
Keah (Eilir): I want the log if he doesn’t.
Campaign saved.
ElectricCaveman: Matt’s got first shot at it, if he wants. Otherwise Katheryn can have it.
Keah (Eilir): so, more bar stories, matt?
Matt (Avaril the Average): Or maybe I’ll write it from the spiritbadger’s persepctive.
Keah (Eilir): oh great.
Matt (Avaril the Average): In which all of the ladies are total dicks and the handsome gentleman is kind, sweet, loving, tender, and deserving of an entire gold reserve.
dublish (Æthelmyr): Good night.
Keah (Eilir): even though he tries to hit the badger over and over again? I didn’t realise it was a masochist.
Keah (Eilir): g’night, kyle!
DM: g’night
