Hargirn

Hargirn, though a significant dwarven city, is regarded as something of a backwater among the dwarven clans of the north. As the most isolated and exposed of the southern cities, Hargirn is less of an architectural wonder than Mekelthen√Ęk or Marlode, and is militarized to a greater degree than its sister cities.

During the Long Winter of 1558-1560, Hargirn became known as the ‘City of Two Names’. Modern scholars believe that this is less a product of dwarf humor, and may have been related to the large amount of alcohol consumed by the city’s residents during its isolation.
